This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.Job Location: Columbus, NEJob Type: Full TimeShift(s) Available: 2nd (12 hours shift - On a weekly rotating basis)Compensation: $35.84/hr – 45.01/hrBenefits InformationMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug InsurancePaid Vacation and Holidays401(k) with Cargill Matching ContributionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Development OpportunitiesPrincipal AccountabilitiesPerform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production and facility equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.Use hand tools, power tools, and basic precision tools to complete maintenance tasks.Read and follow work instructions, schematics, manuals, and safety procedures.Document completed work and equipment conditions using a computerized maintenance system.Perform job duties in a fast paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.Support food safety, housekeeping, and safety standards across the facility.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderMust have high school diplomaMust be able to read and write in the prevalent language of technical literature utilized at the facility.Must have knowledge of hand and power tools, ability to identify proper tool for specific tasksAbility to participate in HAZMAT membership, at minimum supporting roleBe able to use a powered industrial truck (PIT)Ability to work independently and with other techniciansEducation in or willingness to complete courses in Fluid Power Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Mechanical Systems, Fluid Power Systems, Industrial Principles, Concepts of Electronics 1, Fluid Power Systems, Control Systems, Introduction to Programmable Controls, Concepts of Electronics 2, Control Logix, and Advanced Control Systems.Preferred QualificationsPrevious industrial maintenance experienceTwo year degree that relates to the maintenance fieldWork history in the last 12 monthsEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/VetTo apply using chat/text, please click Apply Now button OR use this link to create a login to apply.
