Compensation: $125 per hour

Schedule: Two 1-hour sessions per week, afternoons

Location: In-home, East Harlem, Manhattan - Second Ave near E 106th St (10029)

Setting: DOE-funded services via impartial hearing orders

Job Type: 1099 contract

Climbing Star provides speech and language services to children and families throughout New York City. Our home-based model allows clinicians to provide services in the child's familiar environment while working closely with families and the student's educational team.

We are currently seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to a preschool-age student in East Harlem.

ABOUT THIS CASE

Client age: 4 years old

Location: East Harlem, Manhattan - Second Ave near E 106th St (ZIP 10029), a short walk from the 6 train at 103rd St

Schedule: Two 1-hour sessions per week, afternoons

This is a consistent weekly schedule, making it well suited for an SLP looking to add a single case alongside an existing school, clinic, private practice, or other position.

No bilingual requirement for this case.

Additional SLP cases are available in the Bronx and other NYC boroughs for providers interested in developing a larger caseload.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

At Climbing Star, we understand that clinicians do their best work when they can focus their time and attention on their students.

Our team provides support with scheduling, authorization paperwork, and administrative coordination, allowing you to focus on clinical services and communication with the child and family.

Providers who are already familiar with home-based services for DOE-funded students will find the process familiar. For those new to this setting, our team provides guidance through the administrative and documentation requirements.

THE ROLE

- Provide one-on-one speech and language therapy in the child's home

- Deliver services in accordance with the child's IEP and treatment plan

- Complete evaluations and progress monitoring according to required timelines

- Maintain timely and accurate session documentation

- Communicate regularly with the family and the child's care team

QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

- Current New York State SLP license

- TSSLD or TSHH certification required

- Experience with early childhood or preschool-age children preferred

- ASHA CCC-SLP is a plus, but not required
