Electrical Test EngineerAmazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Test Engineer who will be part of the Hardware Test Engineering team focused on next generation robotic system design. The electrical test engineer will plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components. This will include the design of fixtures, test automation, and safety certification testing. You will be accountable for guiding and developing test strategies and solutions for new products, with a focus on automation, cycle time reduction, and improving product quality. You will work with hardware development, regulatory & compliance, program management, and other hardware test team members. The ideal candidate will draw upon previous electrical test engineer experience, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems. We validate that any design meets our high standards for quality, efficiency, and most of all, safety. Part of the larger "Systems Engineering and Evaluation" group. Work directly along-side test engineers from other disciplines (Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers) to build end-to-end test strategies for Robotic products. Team is located in both BOS12 and BOS27, with lab spaces and test capabilities in both facilities. Occasional travel between office locations.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience - Experience with prototyping and implementation - 4+ years of technical engineering experience - Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems - Experience with test plan development, building the necessary test bench infrastructure, developing tests and verifying the design - Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability - Experience in hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools - Experience designing test fixtures, automated controls, and wiring schematicsPreferred Qualifications- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - Experience with RF measurement equipment, including: power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis - Experience working with Linux - Experience with sensors, 2D/3D cameras, and/or associated test methodology - Experience in circuit level debug to the component level. - Basic programming experience in a high-level programming language such as PythonAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
