Their primary focus is generating day-to-day accounting entries, preparing reconciliations, and assisting the Finance Team as it pertains to business needs. They are accountable for learning and understanding the interdependencies between the accounting workflow processes and how they impact other departments in meeting their monthly closing goals. They must develop a functional and collaborative working relationship with other departments to facilitate information sharing and to understand who their internal customers are and what their needs are.Vertech is growing quickly and integrating systems with our parent company located in Korea, to improve accuracy and efficiency of all financial transactions and processes. The person in this role needs to be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as needed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage the timely analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet accountsResearch discrepancies in variance analysis and meet with business partners to understand key driversAccurately process GL postings and make adjustments where required; proactively follow up on any items that need adjustmentSupporting month-end and year-end closing proceduresAssist with internal and external audits as neededOther projects as assigned such as participating in the systems integration, reorganizing information, and gathering data and reports for auditorsOrganizing and maintaining financial documents for audits and reviewsAnswer general accounting inquiries from internal stakeholdersCreate CAPEX projects within company ERPAssists with record retention and organization of the Accounting Department.Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and AttitudesKnowledge of ERP/Accounting softwareProficient with Excel, Word, Microsoft OfficeExperience in APGeneral knowledge of Fixed AssetsHighly detail oriented and organizedGood communication skillsExceptional time management skillsCritical thinker who gathers and analyzes pertinent details before making a decision or drawing a conclusionAbility to accept and adapt to a changing environmentPerforms duties with a process improvement and customer service mentalityEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent work experienceBasic knowledge of GAAP required1-3 years' experience in accounting
