Role Description The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in one of our 6 locations around Metro Detroit, MI. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine vehicle maintenance, conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs in accordance with safety and quality standards. The mechanic will use diagnostic tools, interpret service manuals, document work performed, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about repair needs and timelines. The role also involves maintaining a clean, safe work area, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting a collaborative, results-oriented shop environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance for heavy-duty diesel trucks. Candidates should possess hands-on capabilities in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment servicing. Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Relevant experience as a diesel mechanic or in a truck repair environment is highly beneficial. Knowledge of diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and safety procedures is preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy components, work in varying environmental conditions, and follow safety protocols. Strong attention to detail, time management, and documentation skills.
