Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Assistant Location: Houston, TX Compensation: $25.00 per hour Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a hardworking individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Efficiently unload and load trucks, ensuring careful handling of goods. Operate stockpicker forklifts and other equipment for moving items within the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including disposing of trash and boxes. Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of trucks. Manage light assembly tasks. Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate record‑keeping. Handle shipping tasks using various carriers such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and freight lines, requiring proficiency with computers and keyboard. Requirements Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in shipping and receiving. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided if necessary). Comfortable working in environments without air conditioning or heating. A clean driving record and the ability to participate in our drug and alcohol testing program. Strong physical condition to handle the demands of the job. Previous experience with light assembly work. Competency in using computers for shipping and inventory management.
