CONTRACT SERVICES INSPECTOR

Job Description Inspects, monitors, and reviews all work performed by external contractors related to the authority's parking facilities and park‑and‑ride services to ensure compliance with MARTA's performance standards. Summary Inspects, monitors, and reviews all work performed by external contractors related to the authority's parking facilities and park‑and‑ride services to ensure compliance with MARTA's performance standards. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Inspect, monitor, and review work completed by outside contractors, such as parking facility maintenance, to ensure compliance with contract and MARTA performance standards. Evaluate contractors' performance and calculate deductions from the contractor's fee for poor or no performance; processes pay applications for approval with proper documentation. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports on contractor performance for review by the Parking Facilities Analyst; identify current or potential problems with contractors and notify management; maintain up-to-date records on contractor performance and notify contractors in writing. Assist in developing various contract specifications and outlining the scope of work. Provide prospective contractors with site‑specific details and conduct site tours. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education And/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of experience performing or inspecting contractual services. Working knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to prepare reports required. Mathematical Skills Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations and percentages. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have a valid Georgia Driver's License to operate MARTA vehicles. Physical Demands Passing a physical examination may be required. This position involves frequent walking, estimated at 34‑66% of the time. Lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds may be necessary.
