Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Department: Quality AssuranceReports to: Manager, Quality AssuranceDirect Reports: NoLocation(s): Philadelphia Summary:Perform system, process, and product audits of the QMS. Provide oversight and assistance to the Organization with the main focus on Production, Customer Support and Training (including MRO), Engineering and Procurement. Interfaces with departmental process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans. Proactively recommends opportunity for improvements to the Products and Services. Responsibilities:Performs a systematic, independent, and documented process for obtaining Audit evidence and evaluates it objectively to determine the extent to which the Audit criteria are fulfilled.Additional duties may include:Review and analysis of previous findings for risk mitigationOther responsibilities as assigned related to the Company mission, values, goals and quality policy.Education:Bachelor Degree Preferred or a combination of high school diploma with relevant work experience in the field of Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering. Experience:One to three (1-3) years of Aerospace Quality experience. Competencies & AttributesQUALITY: Has a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.PRODUCT AND PROCESS CONTROL: Understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and controlQUANTITATIVE METHODS AND TOOLSHas a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Has an understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. Can develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.Can identify, describe, and apply elements of the corrective action process including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, verification of effectiveness Training/CertificationAS9100 Certification preferredEqual Opportunity Employer/Vet/Disability
