Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Townsend, Montana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Critical Access Hospital requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.Details\n \n Critical Access Hospital setting caring for both ED and Acute Swing Bed patients\n Combined adult and pediatric emergency department\n 3x12 hour shifts available on both day (6:15-17:45) and night (17:45-6:15) schedules\n Cerner charting system experience required\n No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer\n Requirements\n \n Active MT or Compact RN license required\n Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC\n 1+ year of ER experience required\n Cerner charting system experience required\n Experience with pediatric and adult emergency conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, burns, head injury, seizures, and respiratory infections\n Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and care of ventilated patients\n Experience with triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation\n Experience with orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury\n References required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Care for a mix of emergency department and acute swing bed patients in a community hospital setting\n Located in Townsend, Montana, offering access to Big Sky/Yellowstone Country\n Charge nurse experience preferred but not required\n Candidates must reside within 75 miles for local rate consideration; local candidates not accepted at travel rate\n Background checks with license or BG hits considered on a case-by-case basis\n Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before applying\n First-time travelers not considered for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754727.
