Pressure Piping Welder -- X‑Ray Quality, Carbon & Stainless

Can you stack dimes in 6G and read P&IDs without breaking stride?

If GTAW and SMAW are second nature and you take pride in X‑ray quality work, this pressure piping role across commercial and industrial projects is for you.

What you’ll do

Produce X‑ray quality welds in shop and field environments, in all positions (flat/vertical/horizontal/overhead).
Work on pipe sizes from 1/2” to 24”, schedules 10–160, across carbon steel, stainless, and exotic metals.
Read and apply ISOs, P&IDs, welding symbols, and project specifications.
Perform complete fit-up: clamp, hold, tack, grind, and bolt assemblies to exact tolerances.
Install piping, supports, valves, and related equipment; test installed systems per plans and specifications.
Identify your work with approved welder ID—stamp, paint, or label as required.

What you’ll bring

Proven ability to pass a 6G pipe weld test; mastery of GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick).
3–7 years of pipe welding experience and a high school diploma/GED.
Fluency with welding symbols; strong blueprint, ISO, and P&ID reading skills.
Hands-on experience with pipe threaders, torches, grinders, porta‑band saws, chain falls, and common hand tools.
Comfort operating forklifts and high‑reach equipment.
Safety focus with consistent PPE use (safety glasses, face masks, gloves, work boots, harnesses).
OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10), accurate tape measure reading, and blueprint literacy.
Willingness to travel and to work overtime when project schedules demand it.

Physical demands

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Use hands to handle, control, and feel tools and components following set procedures.
Perform repetitive motions during fit-up and welding.
