Schneider Buchel LLP is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting & Billing Clerk to support the firm's billing, collections, accounts receivable, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for assisting with client invoicing, payment follow-up, account maintenance, and financial recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable communicating with clients, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Compensation:

$50,000 per year

Responsibilities:

Billing & Accounts Receivable

• Generate, review, and distribute client invoices and monthly statements

• Update client billing information and maintain accurate account records

• Assist with processing billing adjustments and payment applications

• Respond to requests for invoices, statements, and account information

• Review account balances and assist with billing-related inquiries

• Maintain organized billing documentation and records

• Collections support - Follow up on outstanding invoices and send payment reminder emails; document client communications regarding account balances and payment arrangements.

Administrative & Accounting Support

• Perform data entry related to billing, payments, and client accounts

• Scan, file, and maintain digital records and correspondence

• Update spreadsheets and reports for billing and collections activity

• Assist with account reconciliations and other accounting projects as assigned

• Support general office and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Professional phone and email communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential financial information

• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently

Preferred

• Prior experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, or office administration

• Experience working in a law firm, accounting office, or professional services environment

• Familiarity with billing or accounting software
