Summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team and work as a team with other care providers to ensure delivery of premium care to each and every patient. You'll provide urgent care services including medical, orthopedic and minor surgical care; treatment for illnesses and injuries; physical examinations; laboratory and x-ray services.


Compensation

We are committed to providing compensation information for all open positions. The wage range for this position is $54.03-$76.27. This range reflects the base wage for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, licensure, and internal equity considerations.

Key Accountabilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
• Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications
Physician Assistant

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant License from the MN State Board of Medical Practice, in good standing
• Certified as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
• Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care

Nurse Practitioner

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota
• Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care

Schedule

• 64 hours per two-week pay period
• Weekdays: 8:30am - 8:00pm, 8:30am - 4:30pm or 12:00pm - 8:00pm
• Every fourth weekend: 8:30am or 9:00am - 1:00pm or 4:00pm
• Some minor holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve), closed on major holidays (Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day)
