Commercial, Competition & Trade Associate (4-6 yrs.)

Our client’s Commercial, Competition & Trade Practice Group is seeking an experienced, business-oriented attorney to join our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience advising clients on commercial transactions and related regulatory matters, including: Product sales and distribution agreements, and related service contracts Distributor, dealer, sales representative, and franchise protection laws Sales and secured transactions (UCC Articles 2 and 9) Licensing agreements, including traditional IP licenses, software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud-based solutions, and AI/SaaS and other emerging technologies Antitrust and unfair trade practices Food, beverage, and FDA compliance Intellectual property and data privacy/protection matters, including negotiating technology agreements, developing terms of service, product development, GDPR and CCPA compliance, and IP portfolio management/strategy Qualifications and Skills 4 to 6 years of experience practicing commercial law Demonstrated experience managing and leading projects through completion Proven ability to mentor and train junior attorneys Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Innovative, results‑oriented approach to client service, with the ability to develop creative, practical solutions Ability to distill complex legal issues into clear guidance for international clients and non-legal stakeholders Experience working effectively with globally distributed clients in a fast‑paced environment Strong client management skills and business development acumen Commercial litigation experience is a plus, but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr Permanent Placements LLC
