Job Description:


- Unit Name: Medical Unit
- Location: 5475 South 500 East, Building One
- Unit Details:
- 26 Patient Beds
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Available Support: Techs on duty
- Equipment Used:
- Hoyer lifts
- Rolling computers
- Rolling Vital Signs machines
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Shift Information:
- Schedule: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Requirements: 4 weekend shifts/month
- Floating Policy: Potential to float to Surgical or Acute Rehab
- Experience Requirements:
- Med/Surg experience preferred
- Hiring Profile:
- Required Skills:
- Basics of patient care
- Knowledge of normal vital signs and lab values
- Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substances
- Advanced Skills Required:
- NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, heparin drips
- Procedures on Unit:
- Post-heart procedures returning from the cath lab
- Certifications:
- RN License (BSN preferred)
- BLS Certification
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs (tops and bottoms)
- Unit Recognition:
