About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in Tyrone, GA. About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in Tyrone, GA. In this role, you'll be responsible for building accurate, competitive quotes across machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and customers to turn technical drawings into clear, data-driven cost estimates. - Develop accurate cost estimates for machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects
- Review engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine materials, labor, and processes
- Define manufacturing methods, routing steps, setup/run times, and tooling requirements
- Prepare detailed quotes including materials, outside services, and lead times
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to validate costs
- Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and timelines
- Maintain estimating templates, quote logs, and cost data for consistency
- Support production by helping translate awarded quotes into process plans
- Analyze completed jobs vs. estimates to improve accuracy and efficiency
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating or manufacturing engineering
- Background in metal stamping, machining, fabrication, or welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (JobBOSS a plus)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines at once
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Knowledge of outside processing (plating, coating, heat treat, etc.)
- Familiarity with material utilization, nesting, or multi-process estimating
- Experience with post-job cost analysis and continuous improvement
