Maintenance Staff (Grounds)Qualifications:Valid MS Driver's LicenseGood health (medical exam not required)Prior experience in lawn care and/or landscaping preferredSuch alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableTerms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the School BoardReports To: Director of MaintenanceJob Goals: To maintain Brookhaven School District's grounds to maximize presentations to visitors, the community, students and employees.Job Responsibilities: Such duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to, the following:Performs landscaping and lawn maintenance of all district lawns.Maintains a revolving cut scheduleInsures the safe operation of all equipment assignedUses safety glasses/goggles and other appropriate safety equipment when operating equipment and dispersing chemicalsPerforms maintenance of equipment in regard to the mechanical ability of the employeeFollows all board policies and proceduresMaintains regular attendance and is punctualPromotes the district's vision, mission, and goalsPerforms other duties as assigned by the Director of MaintenanceJob Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional PersonnelThe employee is required to perform all related duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator and/or supervisor.
