Position Summary :

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, retirement plan administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, employment law compliance & record keeping and also serves as a backup to payroll functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Day-to-day administration of the Human Resources Department

Benefits administration through ADP Workforce Now

401k administration through ADP & Empower

Employee onboarding and New Hire Orientation

Ability to provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues

Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals

Maintains electronic employee files and HRIS system

Maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state and local and benefits laws and regulations


Performs all other duties as assigned

Benefits Support:

Provide support to employees relating to employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits

Reconciliation of monthly billing and processing of payments

Develop relationships with brokers and other service providers as needed

Assess and escalate risks to the HR Director and/or CHRO

Attend all benefits-related conference calls

Provide guidance and support to employees on benefits-related questions and issues

Provide guidance and support to employees on 401k related questions and issues

Onboarding:

Manage the end-to-end onboarding process in ADP Workforce Now, from creation of job requisitions to offer and New Hire Orientation

Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and welcome packages.

Participate and present benefits materials during New Hire Orientation

Answer employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.

HRIS Management:

Assist with maintaining the company's HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now) ensuring data accuracy and integrity

Assist with benefits data analysis and reporting from the HRIS

Identify opportunities to improve the HRIS system and streamline HR processes

Maintain electronic employee files and HRIS system to support the overall business

Establish and monitor carrier connections

General HR Support:

Provide backup support to weekly payroll processing

Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures

Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure effective HR operations

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications - Required

Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with employees and management at all levels.

Mid-level skills in Excel utilizing simple formulas and creating spreadsheets.

Strong organizational skills

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Ability to interpret and adhere to compliance updates

Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills - addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts promptly

Knowledge of multi-state labor laws and regulations.

Familiarity with the unique challenges and needs of a manufacturing workplace

Minimum of 5 years applicable work experience in HR, benefits, recruiting and onboarding experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in place of education and work experience.

Qualifications - Preferred

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Experience with ADP Workforce Now

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.

Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person and on the telephone.

Compensation:

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
