CNA - Brecon Village

Job Purpose:
- The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Brecon Village, part of EHM Senior Solutions, is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents in a senior living environment. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a nurturing and respectful atmosphere.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
- Document and communicate resident care activities and observations accurately and timely.
- Respond promptly to residents' call lights and requests, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program is necessary.

Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in providing care to senior citizens or individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of patient care and medical terminology.
- Ability to assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving.
