Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility and possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality rehabilitative care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy programs.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Guide patients through exercises and mobility activities, ensuring their safety.
• Document patient performance and therapeutic interventions in compliance with facility policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in working order.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Schedule

The position requires availability from Tuesday to Saturday, with a shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
