Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 18 months combined experience in CVICU specialty required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand required. Certifications: Active American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - 18 months recent CVICU experience. - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required for both. - One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required. - Must be nicotine-free as per facility requirements, except for nurses and CSTs. Description: The CVICU specializes in critical care for cardiovascular patients. The position requires teamwork and the ability to provide high-quality patient care. Nurses in this role will monitor patients closely and respond to changing medical conditions. Strong assessment and communication skills are essential for success. The candidate should be prepared for a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Emergency readiness and proficiency in advanced cardiac life support procedures are necessary.
