About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to provide high-level legal support and guidance on a wide range of complex legal and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate governance models, providing legal advice on state and federal regulatory issues, and coordinating legal strategies across the company's Maine-based businesses. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a J.D. degree, a minimum of 10 years' of relevant legal experience, and a strong background in administrative agency practice. The Deputy General Counsel will also be tasked with managing both inside and outside legal counsel, and must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should have a proven track record of handling diverse legal issues and be adept at multitasking in a dynamic work environment.
