Day Shift: 4x12 Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high acuity care to a mixed unit of patients that includes Medsurg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will manage a patient ratio of 1:6 and will be required to float within the facility as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Participate as a member of the Rapid Response team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Care for patients experiencing diverse health challenges including total joint replacements.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patients' heart rhythms and report changes.
• Assist with patient education and support throughout their treatment journey.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Medsurg/Telemetry setting.
• Active Florida RN license or compact RN license.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Experience with high acuity patients and rapid response situations is necessary.
• Strong telemetry experience is essential.
