Overview RN PACU Part Time – Synergy Surgery Center of San Diego is hiring an RN PACU Part Time. Synergy Surgery Center of San Diego is a brand new outpatient surgery center in the Mission Valley area that specializes in Orthopedics. The center features 5 ORs with spacious areas for pre-op and PACU. The PACU will have 3 suites for 23 hour stay if needed. We are building a new team of nurses, techs, and business office personnel. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, implement physician orders and provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, with conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Pay Pay Range: $45.00 - 60.00/hour (Wages determined based on qualifications and experience). Qualifications Current CA Nursing License Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public Excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, adaptability to change, creativity, and initiative Ability to adapt to change quickly with strong knowledge base related to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics Excellent teaching skills Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology #J-18808-Ljbffr United Surgical Partners International
