Business Liaison

At Living Innovations, we believe everyone who wants to work deserves a fair shot at a great job. We're looking for a down-to-earth, well-connected Business Liaison who knows how to open doors, talk to local business owners, and build real community partnerships across Northern and Eastern Maine.

If you are a natural relationship-builder, love meeting new people, and know how to work a room-from local career fairs to shop floors-this role is for you.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Build Strong Community Ties: Walk into local businesses, forge genuine relationships with owners, and uncover job opportunities for individuals looking to work.
• Be the Face of Living Innovations: Show up at job fairs, networking events, and public forums to represent our mission and expand our regional network.
• Step In as an Employment Specialist: Roll up your sleeves and step in to directly support job seekers and provide hands-on employment coaching during quiet periods or downtime.
• Connect the Dots: Organize business tours and info sessions so job seekers can see potential workplaces firsthand.
• Partner & Collaborate: Work side-by-side with state DVR/DVBI Business Consultants, share local market leads with our internal team, and keep our business logs up to date in Maine Job Link.
• Hit the Road: Travel across Northern Maine to vet workplace safety and meet employers where they are.

What You Bring to the Table

• You can connect with anyone, build trust quickly, and turn a casual chat into a long-term business partnership.
• You know how to navigate local businesses, solve practical problems, and work independently without someone hovering over your shoulder.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.
• 1+ years working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but passion and strong people skills go a long way
