Primecore Construction Services is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator and Field Supervisor to prepare accurate estimates, perform material takeoffs, communicate with clients, and supervise field workers on residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates for residential and commercial maintenance, repair, remodeling, and new construction projects.
• Perform detailed material and quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural plans.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and total project pricing.
• Prepare estimates for new commercial construction projects, particularly rough carpentry, wood framing, sheathing, blocking, and related work.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to identify the complete scope of work.
• Meet with prospective and existing clients to discuss project requirements, scope, pricing, schedules, and project progress.
• Communicate and interact with clients professionally and respond promptly to their questions and concerns.
• Conduct site visits, take field measurements, document existing conditions, and confirm the required scope of work.
• Present estimates and explain proposed work, pricing, exclusions, and project requirements to clients.
• Supervise, guide, and coordinate field workers to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, efficiently, and according to the plans and specifications.
• Provide field workers with clear instructions regarding daily tasks, materials, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, safety compliance, and job-site progress.
• Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, subcontractors, and workforce requirements.
• Report field progress, delays, changes, and job-site issues to company management.
• Obtain and compare current supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify missing information, scope gaps, exclusions, and potential cost risks.
• Assist with bid preparation, proposals, change orders, and project documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in residential and commercial construction estimating and field supervision.
• Strong knowledge of rough carpentry and commercial wood-framing scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience with RSMeans and other construction estimating software is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of construction materials, installation methods, labor productivity, and current market pricing.
• Ability to supervise and provide clear direction to construction workers.
• Professional appearance and excellent client-service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Ability to complete estimates accurately and meet bid and project deadlines.
• Familiarity with Southern California construction methods, building requirements, and pricing is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
