Intermediate Care Nurse - Kansas Campus (PRN)

Overview Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for low acuity assigned patients. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional personnel as necessary. Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes. Meets the educational and informational needs of the low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to low acuity patients. Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements. Qualifications Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training or Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
