Job Description About the Opportunity Our client, a reputable financial services organization in Meriden, CT, is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processor to provide support on a short-term assignment. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to ensure loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy. Verify applicant information, including income, employment, assets, and credit-related documentation. Communicate with borrowers, lenders, underwriters, and third parties to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding conditions. Monitor loan files throughout the processing cycle and ensure deadlines are met. Maintain accurate records and enter data into lending and internal systems. Identify and address discrepancies within loan files. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable lending regulations. Provide administrative support to the lending and underwriting teams as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in loan processing, mortgage processing, banking operations, or a related financial services role. Strong understanding of loan documentation and lending procedures. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience with loan origination systems is a plus.
