Job Summary:

The Laborer / Flagger supports asphalt paving and roadway construction operations by performing general labor duties and maintaining safe traffic control around active work zones. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety of crew members, motorists, and pedestrians while assisting with paving, site preparation, and cleanup activities.

Essential Functions:

• Protect family and friends. Maintain a safe and compliant work zone by properly directing traffic and using approved flagging procedures.

• Committed to serve. Support efficient paving operations by assisting with asphalt placement, raking, shoveling, and compaction activities.

• Efficiency. Help ensure crew productivity by preparing work areas, moving materials, and keeping tools and equipment ready for use.

• Safety always wins. Reduce safety risks by setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices according to site requirements.

• Dedication. Contribute to a clean and organized job site by removing debris, cleaning work areas, and properly storing materials.

• Respect and engage. Promote clear communication by coordinating with crew members, equipment operators, truck drivers, and supervisors.

• Obligated. Support regulatory and company safety expectations by following all safety policies, PPE requirements, and work zone procedures.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

• Previous construction, paving, flagging, or roadway work experience preferred but not required.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Flagger certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

• Ability to work variable shifts and long hours, including nights and weekends if needed.

• Strong attention to safety and situational awareness.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
