Senior Software Application Architect Durham NC or Burlington NC Hybrid Schedule -3 days in office, 2 days remote Job ResponsibilitiesContribute technical thought leadership in our agile development teams and deal with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and implementing secure and high-performance services consumed by various devices and applications across the organizationDrive our software evolution and innovations ensuring that we meet our internal and external clients' software needs today and tomorrow.​​Use cutting-edge technologies to provide a modern framework for container, cloud, and server less Java/Linux-based solutions. Engaged in a wide variety of work, including but not limited to web applications and web service development, platform development, automation, and coaching/mentoring of teams adopting the platformsLeverage your advanced technology skills to develop business solutions within the healthcare industrySuccessfully plan and deliver complex, long-term projects involving multiple teams and external dependencies.Oversee multiple projects in terms of architecture, design, implementation, maintenance, support, and technical debt management.Lead the architecture of new systems, technologies, and processes, ensuring alignment with both functional and non-functional requirements through comprehensive documentation and diagrams.Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to facilitate new technology adoption.Establish quality standards and guidelines for coding patterns and the code review process; ensure adherence to these standards across teams.Communicate complex design and architectural concepts effectively to engineering teams, C-level executives, and business representatives.Drive innovation and creativity in solution design to meet the demands of large-scale applications.Mentor and train developers, helping them navigate technical challenges and grow their skills.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree6 years or more of experince in Architect, Technical Lead, Consultant, or Software Engineer, with a focus on hands-on implementation.5 years or more in Java SE (Standard Edition) and Java EE (Enterprise Edition) , Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.) .3 year or more of developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework.6 year or more of using version control systems (e.g., Git).3 years or more of experince with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).3 years or more of experince with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).6 years or more of experince with SQL development and database management.3 years or more of demonstrated experience leveraging Azure or AWS services for solution design and implementationPreferred Qualifications 2 years or more working in the healthcare domain, including knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and Azure Healthcare Services.2 years or more of development experience building pipelines for public health/health care data (HL7, FHIR, vocabulary, and HHS data standards )2 years or more of experince with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Databricks) for large-scale enterprise solutions.2 years or more of developing container-based and server less applications.2 years or more of working with messaging services such as SQS, Kafka, IBM MQ, or Kinesis.Additional Job StandardsProven ability to learn new technologies and apply research to ongoing projects.Excellent troubleshooting, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, particularly within Agile teams.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
