This position requires the technologist to operate computed tomography (CT) equipment proficiently to capture detailed images that assist physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The role demands adherence to safety protocols and quality standards to protect patients and staff while maintaining the integrity of imaging results. The technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and workflow efficiency. Flexibility in working weekend day and night shifts is essential to meet the healthcare facility's operational needs and provide uninterrupted imaging services.

  • Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients, self, and other staff members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize imaging workflow during weekend shifts.
  • Respond promptly to emergency imaging requests and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:

The required skills enable the CT Technologist to operate complex imaging equipment accurately and safely, ensuring diagnostic images meet clinical standards. Proficiency in patient communication and care is essential to prepare and reassure patients, especially during urgent or emergency imaging scenarios. Knowledge of radiation safety protocols is applied daily to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure. Preferred skills such as familiarity with EMR systems and advanced certifications enhance the technologist's ability to manage patient data efficiently and perform specialized imaging procedures.
