AML Model Testing Analyst

We are seeking an experienced AML Test Analyst to support model testing and validation initiatives within the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing plans for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) models, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance policies. This role requires strong technical expertise in SAS, Python, and AML frameworks, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Design and execute end-to-end model testing plans, focusing on data integrity, model design, performance, and outcomes. Conduct quantitative testing to assess model accuracy, sensitivity, and stability against defined KPIs and thresholds. Develop and execute SAS-based testing scripts for data sampling, parameter verification, threshold testing, and scenario simulations. Document testing results with detailed evidence in compliance with internal model validation standards. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Collaborate with model owners, developers, and validators to understand model logic, data sources, and business context. Communicate testing outcomes, issues, and remediation recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance committees. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to align testing priorities with development cycles. Contribute to the enhancement or redevelopment of AML models using SAS or Python for prototyping and statistical analysis. Support implementation testing, threshold calibration, and tuning activities. Provide analytical insights into false positives, segmentation shifts, and model drift. Governance & Compliance Ensure all testing activities align with enterprise model risk management policies and AML regulatory requirements. Support audit and regulatory reviews by providing comprehensive testing documentation and technical explanations. Maintain version-controlled documentation of test scripts, datasets, and results. Required Qualifications 6–10 years of experience in AML model testing, validation, or development within the financial services industry. Experience in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) testing. Proficiency in SAS (Base SAS, SAS SQL, Macros). Working knowledge of Python. Familiarity with AML models, including transaction monitoring, customer segmentation, and risk scoring. Proven ability to perform quantitative testing and interpret results.
