Location: San Jose Team: Technology Employment Type: Regular Job Code: A40447 Responsibilities Build and productionize recommendation models (collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid, deep learning approaches). Design ranking and retrieval pipelines for low-latency, high-scale serving. Partner with product, data science, and engineering to define personalization strategy. Run offline/online experiments (A/B tests) and iterate using metrics such as CTR, retention, and revenue lift. Improve data pipelines, feature stores, and model monitoring for reliability and model quality. Contribute to MLOps practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and observability. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, recommendation systems, or ranking. Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow). Experience with large-scale data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, SQL). Hands‑on experience deploying ML models to production. Solid understanding of relevance/ranking metrics and experimentation methodology. Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications PhD in Computer Science. Experience with Mobile Development. Experience with real‑time personalization and feature stores. Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212,800 - $450,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
