Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor and Delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Perform Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and High Risk Pregnancy monitoring
• Care for patients across antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage settings
• Float to postpartum as needed, with ability to provide couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Participate in newborn role at delivery when applicable
• Document patient care and assessments using Epic EMR

• Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM), ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM - AHA-issued cards required for ACLS/BLS
• Every-other-weekend availability required
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-submission RTO may not be considered
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at an alternate rate

• Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Ability to perform newborn role in the delivery room
• Prior experience in high-risk obstetrics or antepartum care
• Familiarity with Epic charting system

• Work in a well-regarded acute care facility located in a desirable beachside community in Southern California
• No on-call requirement, offering a more predictable day-shift schedule in a dynamic Labor and Delivery environment
