Diesel Mechanic

Overview TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks. Position and Location Position: Diesel Mechanic Location: Norco, LA or St. James, LA Reports To Reports to: Maintenance Manager Summary TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least (2) years’ experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus. Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Trade school diploma preferred Must have a valid Driver’s License Responsibilities Supply your own tools with up-to-date tool inventory (We have a variety of specialty tools in the shop) Must be able to perform scheduled maintenance on trucks, cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment Must be able to document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality Ability to work with minimal supervision Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop Must be able to verbally communicate safety issues to customers and co-workers on location before and during job task Reports to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned job task for next assignment Hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting Other duties as assigned Benefits TNT is offering our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package which include health benefits, paid vacation, per diem, and the opportunity to work plenty hours of overtime.
