About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a newly acquired, PE-backed transportation and logistics business. This is a pivotal role with a focus on operational improvement, organic growth, and selective M&A. The successful candidate will be the finance leader and core partner to the CEO, responsible for building and leading the finance team, driving cash flow management, forecasting, and financial planning, and supporting M&A activities. The CFO will also be instrumental in scaling the finance organization as the business expands and will be expected to have a hands-on, growth-oriented mindset, and a willingness to operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a proven track record in PE-backed businesses, with a background in transportation, logistics, supply chain, distribution, or other commercial/industrial sectors. Strong experience in cash flow management, forecasting, and operational finance is essential, as is a demonstrated success in implementing financial systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure. Exposure to M&A and related activities is preferred. The role requires a leader who is willing to be hands-on, roll up their sleeves, and build alongside the business, and who is committed to the company's value creation plan.
