Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring at least 1 year of skilled nursing/24-7 care experience and 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Free-standing 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Rehab Nursing IRF unit serving adults with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM devices
• Charts using Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays
• On-call requirements apply
• No current floating requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future

Requirements

• Active RN license (WI or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required
• Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred based on patient acuity
• Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Assist CNAs and respond to patient call lights as needed to support patient safety
• Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical floor and can experience high patient acuity at times
• Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
• Two paid 15-minute breaks and one mandatory unpaid 30-minute break provided per 12-hour shift
• Staff must clock out for the full 30-minute break and are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
