Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans Provide bedside nursing care and carry out medical orders Delegate to and oversee Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, OB Care Associate, Surgical Service Assistant, Nursing Clerk and Psychiatric Tech functions Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and patient outcomes Must be comfortable floating to Emergency Department and Step Down units Work every other weekend schedule required Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Travel experience preferred Neuro surgical experience preferred Open heart experience preferred Additional preferred certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN Assume leadership role including delegation and coordination of nursing care tasks Participate in patient conferences and discharge/transfer planning Teach and mentor professional and ancillary personnel Precept new employees and students Function as team leader for patient placement and assignment delegation Michigan nursing license required Facility This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive intensive care unit providing advanced critical care services to patients requiring complex medical interventions.
