Options include:Las Vegas, NVAtlanta, GARomeoville, ILHouston, TXTravel Required: Up to 50%Pay Range: $20.00-$27.00Summary: Ashley Furniture is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Management System (Wms) Specialist to optimize our warehouse operations through technology solutions. The ideal candidate will configure, maintain, and support our Wms platform to ensure efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and seamless warehouse workflows. This role bridges the gap between technology and operations, driving continuous improvement through system optimization and user enablement.Responsibilities:Wms Configuration & MaintenanceConfigure and maintain Wms platform settings, workflows, and business rules to support operational requirementsManage system updates, patches, and upgrades in coordination with It and vendor support teamsMonitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimizationEnsure data integrity across inventory management, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processesMaintain system documentation including configuration guides, process flows, and standard operating proceduresDevelop and maintain user roles, permissions, and security settings within the WmsOperational Support & TroubleshootingServe as primary point of contact for Wms-related issues and user support requestsTroubleshoot and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and workflow interruptionsConduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive solutionsCoordinate with Wms vendor for escalated technical support and issue resolutionProvide timely communication to stakeholders regarding system issues and resolution timelinesMonitor system alerts and logs to identify and address potential problems before they impact operationsProcess Improvement & OptimizationAnalyze warehouse workflows and identify opportunities to leverage Wms capabilities for increased efficiencyPartner with warehouse leadership to design and implement process improvementsOptimize picking strategies, slotting configurations, and inventory allocation rulesDevelop and test new Wms features and functionality before deploymentCreate and maintain performance dashboards and reporting toolsBenchmark system performance against industry best practices and recommend enhancementsTraining & User EnablementDevelop and deliver Wms training programs for new hires and existing warehouse staffCreate training materials including user guides, quick reference sheets, and video tutorialsConduct hands-on training sessions for new Wms features and process changesProvide ongoing coaching and support to ensure proper system utilizationMaintain a knowledge base of common issues, solutions, and best practicesServe as Wms subject matter expert for cross-functional teamsIntegration & Data ManagementSupport integration between Wms and other systems (Erp, Tms, order management, e-commerce platforms)Monitor data flows and interface functionality to ensure seamless system communicationValidate data accuracy during system updates or migrationsGenerate and analyze reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment metrics, and operational KpisSupport Edi transactions and automated data exchanges with vendors and carriersCollaborate with It and business intelligence teams on data requirements and reporting needsProject Management & ImplementationLead or support Wms-related projects including new feature rollouts and process changesCoordinate user acceptance testing (Uat) for system enhancementsManage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communicationDocument requirements and work with vendors or It to develop custom solutionsSupport new warehouse site implementations and system expansionsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean/Six Sigma projectsQualifications:Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience working with Warehouse Management Systems in an operational or technical support roleStrong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processesProficiency in Wms configuration, troubleshooting, and user administrationExperience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Sql, Power Bi, or similar)Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve technical issuesStrong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical usersDetail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with specific Wms platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Sap Ewm, Oracle Wms, HighJump, etc.)Knowledge of Rf/barcode scanning technology and mobile warehouse devicesFamiliarity with Erp systems and system integration conceptsUnderstanding of Edi transactions and automated data exchangesExperience in retail, e-commerce, or furniture/large item fulfillment operationsSql query writing and database management skillsLean Six Sigma or process improvement certificationProject management experience or Pmp certificationExperience with automation technologies (As/Rs, robotics, conveyor systems)Work Environment:This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (Ppe) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
