The Derek Stein Agency is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, service-minded Customer Account Manager to join our Personal Lines team in Wolverine Lake, Michigan.

Looking to break into the insurance industry? We’d like to hear from you, too.

We believe some of the best insurance professionals come from careers where communication, responsiveness, problem-solving, organization, and customer service are essential. That could include hospitality, mortgage or financial services, account management, banking, customer service, military service or even a recent college graduate ready to begin a professional career.

An active Michigan Property & Casualty License is preferred, but it is not required at the time of hire. Candidates without a current license must be willing and able to obtain their Michigan Property & Casualty License. We’re looking for someone with the aptitude and motivation to learn about the industry, build strong client relationships, and grow with our agency.

Customer Account Manager Requirements:
• Commitment to study for and obtain a Michigan Property & Casualty License.
• Ability and willingness to learn personal insurance products, coverage options, and industry processes is essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with multiple computer systems and software applications.
Customer Account Manager Responsibilities:
• Manage and service a portfolio of personal lines clients.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and billing inquiries.
• Quote and rate insurance policies accurately and efficiently.
• Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities.
• Build lasting client relationships through proactive communication and outstanding service.
• Assess clients' evolving insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Contribute to client retention efforts by delivering a positive and professional customer experience.
