The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth, fun and welcoming environment within our office, providing exceptional patient care while assisting our pediatric dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Manage patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing EMR systems.
• Provide chairside assistance during various pediatric dentistry procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
