Order FillerMidwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Family owned and run company for two generations, we import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world to distribute to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company's mission to provide quality service and products.Midwest Foods is looking to hire experienced order fillers to join our order fulfillment team! Order Fillers are responsible for accurately picking and palletizing customer orders for delivery the following business day.Schedule is Sunday-Friday, start times are between 1pm and 4pm, and shifts end when all the orders are completed. Saturdays and one alternating weekday off. Availability to work overtime and holidays is required.Responsibilities:Read picking sheets/screens (English) using manual sheets and WMS scanner screens/tabletsPick items (produce) and load them onto pallets by handConfirm the right items/variant are picked correctlyFollow GMPs and Food safety guidelines, ensuring that all products are properly staged, avoiding cross contamination and damaged productsPalletize orders using shrink wrap and label pallets accordinglyQualifications:Experience using WMS, handheld tablets/scanners (REQUIRED)Excellent reading/writing skills (English)Must have experience operating an Electric Hand-Jack.Must be able to work in a cold environment (30 degree coolers)Must be able to stand, walk and lift to 60 lbs by hand during majority of the shiftMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screenMust be available to work overtime and holidaysBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, Voluntary Life, Accident, Critical Illness InsuranceVacation, PTO/Sick days and paid holidays703 Union
