Passion for our mission and vision is required!Position Specific Details:Shifts: C | Fri-Sun (5 am -5:30 pm)Location: Huntsville, ALRelocation: AvailableMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Preparing weld joints — cleaning, fitting, tacking, and positioning parts in fixtures and tooling per engineering drawings and process documentationMust be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical work instructions.Self-sufficient, self-starter and driven.3+ years of experience GTAW welding in a manufacturing production environment.Demonstrated experience with NDT-quality welds, including work that has been inspected by methods such as:X-ray / radiographic testing (RT)Ultrasonic testing (UT), including phased array (PAUT) or automated UT (AUT), or similar advanced NDT.Familiar with all types of Non-Destructive testing and quality policiesExperience performing welds on components subject to pressure loads (e.g., refineries, power plants, steam systems, process piping)Substantial ability using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.Must be able to pass a practical Weld Test (1F, 3F, 2G, 3G and 6G).U.S. person status as required by applicable regulations (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum)Preferred Qualifications:Certified per ASME Section IXBackground in tube welding and heavy-wall pipe and plate welding in high-pressure or safety-critical applications.Experience in a high-scrutiny, safety- or mission-critical industry (e.g., aerospace, nuclear, or similar)Familiarity with Geometric tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with mechanized welding technologies.Leadership experience.Willingness to mentor less experienced technicians and welders.Experience with 5S methodology and lean initiatives.Current GTAW certifications in accordance with AWS D17.1.Expert level of confidence in aerospace manufacturing specifications for structural and welded assemblies.Ability to operate material handling equipment.
