Job HighlightsShape and drive the regional business development agenda for North America, with a primary focus on Big Pharma and high-potential biotech accounts.Build trusted executive- and senior-level relationships with strategic pharma and biotech customersTranslate regional market intelligence, customer insights and target account priorities into a focused business development strategy aligned with Businessheadquarters.Identify, qualify and advance attractive custom manufacturing opportunities, working closely with internal technical, commercial and operational experts as well as customer stakeholders.Provide functional guidance to Junior Sales Manager(s) and align with regional commercial resources to ensure coordinated market coverage, effective lead development and a consistent high-quality customer approach.Represent SALTIGO as a senior commercial ambassador at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows and executive networking events, strengthening brand visibility and generating new business leads.Experience / SkillsDegree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, Business or a related field; an advanced degree in sciences is strongly preferred.Professional experience in related fields 15+ yearsSenior business development or commercial leader with extensive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO/CMO, fine chemicals or custom manufacturing markets.Ability to opened doors, developed strategic accounts, secured high-value opportunities and built partnerships with pharma and biotech customers in North America.Experience in pharmaceutical outsourcing, process development, contract manufacturing and scale-up requirements.Establish senior-level network and the credibility to engage decision-makers across pharmaceutical and biotech organizations in North America.Willingness to travel regularly across North America and internationally as required.Location PittsburghEmployee Type RegularWho we areLANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with about 12,000 employees in 32 countries.
