Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) will provide skilled nursing care in a Long Term Care and Transitional Care setting. This role involves administering IV therapy, managing central lines, performing blood draws, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care. The LVN/LPN must have at least 2 years of relevant experience and be able to float between units as needed, delivering care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Administer IV therapy including starting IVs and managing IV pumps.
- Perform central line blood draws and dressing changes.
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Long Term Care and Transitional Care units.
- Float between units, typically spending 3 shifts in Transitional Care Unit and remaining shifts in other areas.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems (Net Solutions).
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
- Active LVN/LPN license in the state of practice (pending licenses accepted).
- Minimum 2 years of skilled Long Term Care or Transitional Care experience.
- BCLS certification.
- Proficient in IV therapy, including starting IVs, managing IV pumps, and central line care.
- Reliable transportation, preferably own vehicle.
- Ability to float between units as required.
- Experience with electronic medical record charting systems, specifically Net Solutions.
- Previous travel nursing experience (minimum 1 year required for first-timers).
- No previous Providence permanent employees accepted.
- No travel pairs allowed.
- Limited return-to-office (RTO) days allowed, no more than 3 during the assignment.
- No on-call requirement.
- Must comply with facility dress code: scent-free environment, natural nails at fingertip length, no artificial nails, and appropriate business casual attire.
- Facility is scent-free; no cologne, perfume, or aftershave allowed.
- Facility parking is free.
- Facility may call off traveler up to one shift per pay period.
- 8-hour evening shifts.
- Work every other weekend.
- Block scheduling accommodations available.
- Shift assignments include floating between units with approximately 3 shifts per 24 hours in Transitional Care Unit.
- Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius at the same pay rate.
