Product Demonstrator Part Time

Job Description The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Responsibilities Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Properly set up and prepare event tables for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports per company policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device and applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Local Food handler permit may be required. Physical Demands Regular requirements include standing and walking during the shift; using hands and fingers to handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talking and hearing; visual ability to read instructions and perform events; stooping; kneeling; squatting; climbing or stepping up a ladder; balancing; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); pushing and pulling a wheeled demonstration cart; preparing foods and beverages using required appliances; contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment Retail store environment; limited travel. Physical Appearance Professional appearance and proper grooming in accordance with retailer dress code requirements. Language Skills English is primary; bilingual skills may be required.
