Psychiatry Geriatric physician employment in Connecticut :
An inpatient behavioral health facility in Bristol, Connecticut is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide coverage for a 15-bed senior behavioral health unit. This locum opportunity offers the chance to deliver comprehensive inpatient care for geriatric psychiatry patients in a collaborative hospital setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Setting: Inpatient Senior Behavioral Health Unit
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for inpatient geriatric behavioral health patients.
- Conduct daily rounds and manage medications.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including nursing, social work, therapy, and case management.
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
- Experience treating geriatric psychiatric patients.
- Current DEA registration.
Desired Skills:
- Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry.
- Active Connecticut medical license.
