Machinist #3, 1st Shift

Hourly Rate: $27.06 per hour General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking Machinists to join our Saco Operations team. We support the mission of the warfighter; our products are found with every U.S. Military branch and allies around the world. We are looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help shape and support this organization. The Machinist #3 loads, operates, and unloads a variety of conventional machines, presses, saws, and other industrial equipment to produce parts per manufacturing process. They ensure parts are within the specified tolerances using the prescribed gauges. Responsibilities Employees will have primary responsibilities in one or more of these job disciplines: Lathes Chamberer Broacher Rifling Straightener Cut Off Saw Operator Grinder Cylindrical Deep Hole Driller May be required to perform other duties as requested by management. Must have the physical ability to frequently lift, move, and adjust items weighing approximately 35 lbs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Basic computer skills and may be required to enter and verify information into written forms or databases as appropriate. Average of 8 months’ experience; includes 4 months to 1 year.
