Mechanical Project Manager – Construction

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing mechanical contracting team. This role will be responsible for managing commercial mechanical projects from preconstruction and planning through installation, commissioning, and closeout.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing HVAC and mechanical construction projects and is comfortable coordinating with clients, general contractors, engineers, field teams, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

What You'll Do:

• Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, procurement, and overall project performance
• Coordinate HVAC and mechanical scopes with general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchasing, and project documentation
• Review drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans to identify potential issues and coordinate solutions
• Work closely with field leadership to ensure manpower, materials, equipment, and project needs are properly planned
• Monitor project costs and identify potential schedule or budget issues before they impact the job
• Maintain strong communication with clients and project partners throughout the project
• Support commissioning, punch list, turnover, and project closeout

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, ideally with a mechanical contractor
• Project management experience with commercial HVAC and mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment, and construction processes
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively between office and field teams
• A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish
