About the Role Our client, a respected non-profit organization based in George , is actively searching for an enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to manage and grow their dedicated volunteer base. This role is essential for the effective delivery of our client's mission within the Western Cape . You will be responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing support of volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement effective strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Conduct thorough orientation and training sessions for new and existing volunteers. Coordinate volunteer schedules, assigning tasks based on skills and organizational needs. Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and recognition to volunteers. Maintain accurate volunteer records and track volunteer hours and contributions. Liaise with program staff to identify volunteer needs and ensure proper volunteer placement. Requirements Previous experience in volunteer management, HR, or a related field is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire individuals. Proficiency in record-keeping and basic administrative tasks. A passion for community service and non-profit work.
