Job Title: Marketing & Communications Associate Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Work Arrangement: Hybrid Travel: Up to 5% Compensation: Up to $50,000 annually (based on experience) Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Associate for an exciting opportunity in Chicago, IL. This role supports a variety of marketing and communications initiatives including content development, branding support, digital communications, website updates, social media management, and campaign execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for marketing strategy and content creation. This position offers the opportunity to support multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Content Development Draft, edit, and coordinate content for digital marketing channels including email campaigns, websites, and social media platforms Support development and production of marketing materials from concept and copywriting through final execution Assist with creating and maintaining marketing collateral and communication assets Support content planning and campaign execution across multiple initiatives Communications & Campaign Support Manage and maintain marketing distribution lists and contact databases Coordinate production schedules and maintain content calendars to support project timelines Support implementation of communication strategies and campaign initiatives Assist with content organization and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of materials Website & Digital Support Update website content and support ongoing digital communication initiatives Maintain content accuracy and ensure consistency with branding standards Assist with basic website updates and digital content management activities Project Coordination Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and deliverables Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support marketing goals and initiatives Assist with campaign reporting and marketing process coordination as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered 0–1 years of professional marketing, communications, or related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to travel up to 5% Preferred Qualifications Agency and/or association experience preferred General understanding of marketing strategy including research, planning, promotion, and evaluation Experience using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint Basic understanding of HTML and website content updates preferred Experience maintaining content calendars or coordinating marketing campaigns preferred Work Environment This hybrid opportunity is based in Chicago, IL and offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting multiple marketing initiatives and communication projects.
